2) The floor leader of the Liberty Korea Party, Kim Sung-tae, said, “The amendment of the constitution is a significant decision that could transform the entire political system of this nation. The decision shouldn’t be exclusively made by the president, and the amendment must not be initiated based on his authority.”
3) Na Kyung-won, another Liberty Korea Party lawmaker, said, “I am against the constitutional amendment that threatens the democracy of this country. It seems like the imperialistic presidential system of this country hasn’t ended yet.”
4) After they expressed messages including “We must stop the constitutional amendment decided solely by the current government and pursue one made by all the people,” and “We disagree with the constitutional amendment. An amendment made by the whole country is what the government should implement,” the legislators and party supporters ended their protest.
