[VIDEO NEWS] A Visit to Soguem Mountain’s New Tourist Attraction: The Swinging Bridge
2) A 10-minute walk along the Sogeum Mountain Hiking Trail at Jijeong-myeon in Wonju, Gangwon will take you to the 200-meter-long Wonju Sogeum Mountain swinging bridge.
3) This bridge, which is the longest mountain pedestrian bridge in South Korea connects two 100 meter-tall rock ridges, which are parts of the Sogeum Mountain hiking trail.
4) The bridge can withstand 1,285 70-kilogram people crossing it at once.
5) It was also engineered to stand up to winds as strong as 40 meters per second.
6) For this year, the city of Wonju plans to grant free entrance to the bridge and skywalk to tourists.
