[VIDEO NEWS] Another case of child abuse breaks out in a kindergarten
2) The teachers were charged with child abuse, and the school’s director was charged for lacking supervision.
3) Last November, 42-year-old teacher “A” hit student “B,” then 6 years old, multiple times on the head.
4) She had another girl stand by and watch as she hit B’s head twice, and then again somewhere the camera could not see.
5) The CCTV caught B falling on the floor after being hit, then standing back up, scared.
6) The other girl watched, standing very still until she dropped her head, and the other eight children in the class were immobile, seemingly terrified.
7) After the incident, B started having nightmares and urinating on his pants.
8) Diagnosed with PTSD, he had to be admitted to a hospital in Incheon.
9) Police began an investigation after receiving a report of suspected abuse from B’s mother.
10) While analyzing the CCTV, police discovered traces of abuse from another teacher, “C.”
11) Teacher C is suspected to have kicked and abused children last November, during naptime while they were asleep.
12) So far, police have discovered that three children, aged 5 to 6, have been abused physically and emotionally by these teachers.
13) The local district office suspended A and C’s teaching licenses.
14) However, the kindergarten is still in operation.
15) Child abuse cases in kindergartens, which continue to break out, seem to require countermeasures.
