To April 15: The strawberry dessert buffet is available in the lobby lounges of the two hotels as well as in the Sky Lounge on the 30th floor of the InterContinental Seoul COEX. Those who choose to enjoy the desserts at either lobby lounge will get their food delivered to their table upon request.
The Lobby Lounge of the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is decorated as the “Strawberry Boutique.” They serve a range of items, such as the strawberry tiramisu, strawberry madeleines, strawberry mochi, as well as savory dishes such as California rolls, udon and sandwiches. Some are made-to-order, such as waffles or flambe, a French cooking method that uses an alcoholic beverage to light a fire. Caramel syrup and liquor are sprayed on some fresh strawberries, and they are heated by a strong flame.
Dishes found in the Lobby Lounge at the InterContinental Seoul COEX are comparably more casual. At the hotel’s “Strawberry Avenue,” tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) as well as many other savory dishes and sweet items like strawberry chocolate tarts or cookies will be served. Those dining at both lounges will get a free cup of coffee or tea.
The Sky Lounge will be decorated as a “Strawberry Garden.” Strawberry mille-feuille is served alongside potato gnocchi and more. A glass of sparkling wine is served free of charge.
Lobby Lounges will hold two strawberry dessert buffets on Saturdays and Sundays. The first session is from 12 to 2 p.m., and the second session is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Only one session is available on Fridays from 12 to 2 p.m. The cost is 56,000 won ($52) at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, and 51,000 won at InterContinental Seoul COEX, including tax and service charge. The operating hours for the Sky Lounge are 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and the price is 65,000 won, including tax and service charge.
