This summer, Waterbomb Festival is returning with a star-studded lineup, including hip-hop group Drunken Tiger, rapper Jay Park and singer Hyolyn from the now-disbanded girl group Sistar.

The fourth edition of the summer festival will take place this coming Friday and Saturday at Jamsil Sports Complex in eastern Seoul.

Last year, Waterbomb attracted more than 20,000 visitors. The festival will also head to Busan with a different lineup on July 28.

Waterbomb’s signature feature is the icy blast of water delivered to festivalgoers every 30 minutes, which offers relief from the summer heat.

During the festival, participants can use water guns in team competitions.

Participants can choose to be one of two teams when purchasing their tickets. They can also shoot their water guns at the musicians, which last year interrupted some performances.

Friday’s headliner is DJ and producer Junkie Kid. He plays a mix of hardstyle and house music that he calls “neo-hardhouse.”

Friday will also feature performances from boy band Winner and rappers Jessi and Nucksal, both of whom have been in the media spotlight following their appearances on rap survival programs “Unpretty Rapstar” and “Show Me the Money.”

On Saturday, Wiwek, a DJ and producer famous for his jungle-inspired sounds, will headline. Singer Sunmi from now-disbanded girl group Wonder Girls, reggae duo Skull & Haha as well as rapper Microdot will perform on Saturday.

The festival runs from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Waterbomb can only be entered by people aged 18 and over.
