BTS’s YouTube channel hits 2.5 billion views

테스트

Boy band BTS’s official YouTube channel hit 2.5 billion views on Friday, according to Google.

A press release from YouTube puts the United States as the country that watches “BANGTANTV” the most with Vietnam coming in at a close second. The channel was created in December 2012 with only a thousand followers.

BTS’s new album, “Love Yourself: Answer,” was released on Friday. The main track “IDOL,” blends South African dance music and traditional beats and sounds from a Korean folk music instrument.

A teaser video for “IDOL,” released on Thursday, featured the profile of a running tiger followed by the images of the BTS members clad in jackets inspired by hanbok, or traditional Korean dress.

BTS is scheduled to kick off their world tour in Seoul on Saturday and Sunday. Then the group heads to the United States, Canada, Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Japan.
