Prepare for another Korean zombie movie

“Rampant,” a Korean zombie flick, will open in 19 countries on four continents starting in late October, the film’s overseas distributor said on Monday.

After its premiere in Korea, the movie will head to Taiwan, the Philippines, Germany, Britain, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada, Contents Panda said.

The film stars Hyun Bin of “Confidential Assignment” (2016) and Jang Dong-gun, one of the country’s most bankable actors.

It depicts the struggle of a Joseon prince to save his people from ghosts that are only active at night. Kim Sung-hoon, who helmed “Confidential Assignment,” is the director.

“It not uncommon for Korean movies to open in 19 countries on four continents at the same time,” a Contents Panda spokesman said. “It’s an achievement comparable to that of ‘Train to Busan.’ The flick is going to smash theaters in each country during the Halloween season.”
