g.o.d celebrates its 20 years

Veteran boy band g.o.d, which is an acronym of Groove Over Dose, is holding a series of concerts celebrating its 20 years in the business, confirmed agency Sidus HQ on Monday.

The three-day concert series titled “g.o.d 20th Anniversary Concert ‘GREATEST’” will be held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul. The members will be recalling the last 20 years with their fans.

Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. through Auction Tickets.

Since its debut in 1999 with the album “Chapter 1,” the group has produced many hit songs such as “To Mother,” “Road” and “Lies.” It was one of the best-selling groups in the early 2000s.

In 2004, however, member Yoon Kye-sang left the group to pursue an acting career, but he eventually came back in 2014. Other members have also pursued solo careers as singers.

Since Oct. 11, the quintet has made an appearance on JTBC’s reality program, “Shall We Walk Together.” The show features a trekking journey of the five members.
