Blackpink breaks 400 million views

Girl group Blackpink has set a new milestone with their third music video to surpass 400 million views on YouTube. The music video for the song “Boombayah” - which was released in August 2016 - hit the 400 million views mark on Tuesday, according to YG Entertainment on Wednesday.

This marks the third music video of the group’s to reach 400 million views this month. Blackpink’s “As If It’s Your Last” reached the figure on Oct. 21, more than a year after its release, and “Ddu-du Ddu-du,” which surpassed the 400 million mark on Oct. 6, only 112 days after its release.

Blackpink seems to be on a roll as the group’s agency also announced Tuesday that the group has signed a contract with Interscope Records, a major U.S. label under the Universal Music Group, signaling a future for the group in the U.S.

Blackpink will hold a two-day concert titled “Blackpink 2018 tour [In Your Area] Seoul X BC Card” at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul, on Nov. 10 and 11.
