NC Dinos add left-hander Yoon Ji-woong to bullpen

The NC Dinos announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Yoon Ji-woong on Wednesday.

“We believed that we needed to strengthen our left-handed bullpen pitchers so we signed Yoon Ji-woong, who has experience in the KBO,” the Dinos said in a statement.

Yoon made his KBO debut with the Nexen Heroes in 2011, where he picked up two wins and nine holds with a 4.08 ERA in 53 games during his rookie season. After failing to make an appearance in the next two seasons, Yoon signed with the Twins in 2014, playing mainly in the team’s bullpen. Throughout Yoon’s career, he has picked up 11 wins, six losses, one save and 41 holds with a 4.50 ERA.

“Currently, he doesn’t have any injuries and if he trains well in the end of year camp, I believe that he can be a big help to our team,” said Lee Dong-wook, the Dinos’ manager.

As Yoon completed his physical check-up on Tuesday, he joined the Dinos’ end-of-year camp on Wednesday.
