Twice’s ‘Cheer Up’ tops 300 million

The video for girl group Twice’s “Cheer Up” has surpassed 300 million in YouTube views.

According to the group’s agency JYP Entertainment, the video hit the threshold at about 6 p.m. on Sunday, more than two and a half years after it was uploaded.

The nine person group became the first female K-pop group to hit a record 400 million views with the music video for “TT” on Sept. 17.

It also reached more than 100 million views with the videos for its nine hit songs, ranging from its debut single “OOH-AHH” to the latest “Dance The Night Away.”

On Monday, Twice is to drop its sixth EP titled “Yes or Yes” at 6 p.m.

The album’s title track was written by Shim Eun-ji, who wrote the lyrics of “Knock Knock,” and was composed by David Amber and Andy Love of “Heart Shaker.”

The album features a total of seven tracks, including the lead song and “BDZ,” a song off of the group’s first Japanese studio album.
