Kim Ki-duk loses court case

테스트

A court has ruled that both the woman who accused movie director Kim Ki-duk of sexually assaulting her and the crew of the MBC program “PD Notebook,” which reported on the case, are innocent.

According to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office on Wednesday, there is not enough evidence to charge the woman and the crew for false accusation.

Last March, “PD Notebook” reported that over the years, Kim had sexually assaulted several female actors while filming his movies. Three anonymous actors appeared on the show and accused him for forcing them to shoot explicit scenes in 2013. The court then indicted him on a summary offense and fined him five million won ($4,430) for assault.

Kim, however, filed a defamation suit against the actors and the crew of the program in June.

According to Kim, his reputation was damaged due to “false accusations, allegations and the airing of the program, which was based on malicious, false facts.”
