2) The Ramada Encore Hotel in Ssangyong-dong, South Chungcheong, caught fire.
3) The Korea Fire Service (KFS) declared a Level One emergency when the fire broke out, but quickly increased it to a Level Two emergency at 17:34.
4) KFS helicopters rescued two people from the hotel’s rooftop.
5) Mattresses were placed on the ground to catch anyone considering jumping to escape the fire.
6) The conflagration was extinguished by 19:00. The footage was sourced from Kang In-gyu’s Facebook page.
7) The KFS estimates the fire to have broken out on the second floor.
8) Twenty hotel guests in need of medical attention were sent to a hospital with smoke inhalation.
