Queen tribute band to visit Korea

A Queen tribute band named Rhapsody Queen will perform in Korea for the first time in February.

Rhapsody Queen has been scheduled to perform on Feb. 9 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, western Seoul, on Feb. 16 at Busan’s Bexco and on Feb. 18 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju.

The works of photographer Mick Rock, who shot Queen’s album jacket photos back in 1974, will be on display at each venue.

The band was formed in England in 2005 and includes Alex Koronka (as Freddie Mercury), Chris Cox (as Brian May), David Clarke (as John Deacon) and Paul Lennox (as Roger Taylor). They have played in India, Germany, Spain and many other places around the world.

“Rhapsody Queen has prepared a special list of songs for Korean fans.” stated JyG, the band’s production company. “[Audiences] will be able to feel the excitement of the movie ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ [at the show].”

Tickets can be purchased on ticket seller Interpark’s website.
