Daelim Industrial signs deal with Petron in Malaysia

Daelim Industrial closed a $132 million dollar deal to build a refining facility in Malaysia,

Its client is Petron Malaysia, a subsidiary of Petron, the largest refiner in the Philippines. Daelim has worked with Petron on about 10 projects.

Under the contract, a facility will be built that reduces the level of sulfur in diesel. It will be situated next to Petron Malaysia’s existing refining at Port Dickson, located 60 kilometers (37.2 miles) south of Kuala Lumpur.

The project will adhere to international standards for greener fuel. Daelim’s facility will produce 35,000 barrels of ecofriendly diesel fuel a day.
