FSS chief vows to improve relations with foreign firms

The head of the financial watchdog said Tuesday he will make more efforts to communicate with foreign firms doing business in Korea.

Yoon Suk-heun, governor of the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), made the remarks at a meeting with U.S. and European business executives earlier in the day. Last November, executives from the United States, Britain, the European Union, France and Germany issued a statement calling for regulations in Korea to become more transparent.

The five business groups are the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea, the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea, the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
