InterContinental Seoul Coex

April 1 to June 30: Sky Lounge, nestled on the 30th floor of the InterContinental Seoul Coex, presents the Mango & Berry Afternoon Tea Set, a treat to refresh the senses against spring drowsiness and featuring over 10 kinds of mango and berry desserts, along with savory dishes. Not only are the desserts sweet, but there are savory dishes including lasagna and sandwiches to complement the beautiful scenery of the heart of the city including majestic views of Hangang River and Bongeun Temple.

The dishes were created by the Italian chef Luca Carrino who has been in business for 20 years and was appointed as head chef of Sky Lounge last October. They are tailor-made to suit Korean tastes and range from mango desserts including mango gazpacho, seasonal berry sweets using berries such as blueberry, cherry, mulberry, raspberry and cranberry to savory dishes of cream cheese sandwich with whole wheat bread, mozzarella sandwiches with squid ink bread, mini lasagna and more.

The tea set is not complete without coffee or tea, and guests may choose from six kinds of coffee including Americano, cappuccino and cafe mocha using coffee beans from the authentic Italian brand illy. A tea sommelier also offers six kinds of hand-blended tea from Tavalon including chamomile, Earl Grey, and rooibos to choose from.

Luca Carrino, the head chef of the Sky Lounge, said, “The Mango & Berry Afternoon Tea Set is a sequel to the Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set in January to March. I was very much inspired by the guests taking lovely selfies with their strawberry dream desserts, using the beautiful backdrop of Hangang River to their back, as if this was a moment in their life to cherish. The staff at Sky Lounge and I will continue to develop new promotions to delight the guests and create memorable experiences.”

The Mango & Berry Afternoon Tea Set is offered from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every day at the price of 76,000 won for two including tax and service charges.
