Taeguk Ladies lose 2 players to injury, see 2 players return

Ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Korean women’s national football team is struck with injuries, again.

Led by head coach Yoon Duk-yeo, the Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on Wednesday that midfielders Ji Seon-mi and Kim Yun-ji will no longer train with the national team due to injuries.

Ji is expected to miss about four weeks due to a right femoral muscle injury, while Kim is expected to be absent for three weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The women’s team also had two players - Ji So-yun of Chelsea FC Women and Cho So-hyun of West Ham United FC Women - return to begin training together.
