Russia’s MTS takes a look at KT’s future technologies
Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), Russia’s largest mobile operator, visited KT Friday to check out the Korean carrier’s latest developments in future business areas, like 5G and artificial intelligence (AI).KT said Sunday that MTS CEO Alexey Kornya and KT Chairman Hwang Chang-gyu discussed possible joint business operations. After the meeting, KT gave Kornya and his delegates a tour of the company’s various 5G media services and AI technologies. AI and Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies are two of the primary business areas that MTS is looking to invest in.
