Kim Jun-su to sing at Asean Week

Singer Kim Jun-su is set to perform at the Asean Week 2019 festival on June 14, C-JeS Entertainment said on Wednesday.

The upcoming event will be held from June 14 to June 16 at Seoul Plaza in front of the Seoul City Hall in central Seoul, where visitors will be able to enjoy a multicultural experience put together by 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) countries.

“During the Opening Ceremony on June 14, H.E Lee Hyuk, secretary general of Asean-Korea Centre, Hon. Park Won-soon, mayor of Seoul, and H.E. Singtong Lapisatepun, ambassador of Thailand, will announce the commencement of the celebrations and deliver congratulatory remarks,” the organizer said.

“The Asean-Korea Music Festival will follow, featuring Asean cultural performances and K-pop idols Kim Jun-su and The One.”

The Asean Week is a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Korea-Asean relations and the 10th anniversary of the Asean Center. The event will also serve as a kick-off for a successful round of talks at the upcoming Korean-Asean summit to be held in November.

“The harmony of Korean and Asean artists is expected to contribute to two-way cultural exchange and to the budding of the Asean wave in Korea,” said the organizer.
