Quiet Sunday
A few shoppers walk around the popular Myeong-dong shopping district in central Seoul on Sunday. According to a report by the Bank of Korea, overall spending fell 0.1 percent in the first quarter compared to the fourth quarter. The fall was cushioned by the increase in government spending, which grew 1.1 percent. Private sector spending, on the other hand, fell 0.5 percent. [YONHAP]
