Asiana kicks off 5th Beautiful Classroom course in Vietnam

Asiana Airlines held the fifth entrance ceremony for its Beautiful Classroom in Vietnam on Wednesday.

The Beautiful Classroom is one of the major corporate social responsibility programs run by the airline.

While different programs are run under the same title in a number of countries, the airline supports the education of low-income women in Vietnam.

In the Wednesday ceremony, 80 women entered as students of the six-month program that teaches accounting, computer, services, Korean and English.

The program is designed to help participants land jobs after graduation.

Asiana has been running the program jointly with the Korea International Cooperation Agency and GoodPeople, a non-governmental organization from 2015.

In the last five years, 200 among 550 Vietnamese women that graduated the program found jobs as office workers or in the service sector.
