InterContinental Seoul COEX

Every weekend and holiday: Sky Lounge, the Italian restaurant located on the 30th floor of InterContinental Seoul COEX in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, has announced its plan to open every weekend and public holiday onwards as it launches a weekend breakfast menu with the theme of “brunch in the sky”. Sky Lounge offers a buffet section filled with a variety of items, which will help you ease into a vibrant weekend while pleasantly discovering how central Seoul wakes up to a new day. The restaurant also provides four types of pass-around dishes that reveal the witty charm of head chef Luca Carrino. As Sky Lounge sits on the 30th floor, the top floor of the hotel, enjoying brunch while looking down on the mesmerizing view of Seoul and the Han River is an added bonus.

Inspired by the aperitif culture of Italy, Il Brunch starts with Aperol Spritz. The joy of brunch is enhanced by fifteen types of appetizers prepared in the buffet section and fluffy, pillowy eggs open the main course. For the main dish, you can select from rib eye, beef tenderloin, lamb chops, lobster, tender or crispy pork belly cooked on low heat, roasted chicken served with foie gras sauce and duck breast. The main dishes are served on sizzling stone plates suitable for sharing, a unique experience in itself.

As the buffet comes with various types of seafood, prosciutto and cheese, it goes well with wine. The fresh seafood directly delivered from the southern provinces of Korea every day are a particular source of pride for the restaurant. Diners can finish the brunch with fifteen types of desserts, including banana pancakes made on the spot, waffles topped with traditional Italian gelato and tiramisu made with the secret recipe from chef Luca Carrino’s grandmother.

As a promotion for the launch of the brunch menu, Sky Lounge will give away vouchers for Sky Lounge’s Afternoon Tea Set, Pizza & Beer Package and Weekday Buffet in a lucky draw to those who write a review for the brunch on social media with a designated hash tag (#SkyLounge #IlBrunch #BrunchWithHanRiverView #WeekendBrunch) from Aug. 24 to Sept. 14, which leads into the Chuseok holidays.

Brunch service is available every weekend from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and it will also be open during the upcoming Chuseok holidays from Sept. 12 to 15.

The brunch is available for 79,000 won ($64.94) per person and the deal that includes a glass of Louis Roederer is 99,000 won per person. Unlimited Louis Roederer is also available at 139,000 won per person. Kids’ menus are offered for 39,500 won per person. Tax and service charges included.
