Galaxy Fold launches and sells out in 4 more countries

Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Fold sold out in the Britain, Germany, France and Singapore on Wednesday, the day it was released.

This was the second group of countries to start sales of the Galaxy Fold, after Korea, where two batches of the phones have already sold out since its launch on Sept. 6. Sales in the United States are also slated to start this month.

Prices were set at £1,900 ($2,370) in Britain, 2,100 euros ($2,320) in Germany, 2,020 euros in France and 3,088 Singaporean dollars ($2,240). The models sold in Britain and Germany supported 5G, while the others supported 4G. All four price tags were higher than Korea’s 2.39 million won ($2,000).

Samsung did not disclose how many units it released in each market.

In Korea, Samsung will open up orders for the third batch of Galaxy Folds at midnight tonight on its website and through online malls Gmarket, Coupang and Lotte Hi-Mart.
