The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful (15)

Although Gwi-soo has grown up learning everything about the game of Go under the strict guidance of the Go master Heo Il-do, he may also lose everything because of the game after his master is killed by the notorious and feared gambler known as Busan Weed.

Gwi-soo eventually grows up to become a Go master himself, looking to make up for everything that he lost by placing high-stake bets on Go matches against the nation’s most skilled Go masters. And he will not stop, as he has nothing to lose, betting his life to avenge what the game cost him - the most precious people in his life.

Kwon Sang-woo plays the protagonist Gwi-soo. Kim Hee-won, Kim Sung-kyun, Heo Sung-tae and Woo Do-hwan play the experienced Go-masters that Gwi-soo challenges.



The Addams Family (15)

One of the most iconic American families has been brought back to life, this time through 3-D computer animation.

The Addams family has been living in an abandoned asylum isolated from the rest of the world for the past 13 years and they have been very happy so far, thank you very much.

The four-member family includes Gomez and Morticia, who have raised their daughter Wednesday and their son Pugsley in their macabre ways and take pride in the destruction and mischief they cause.

Things begin to change, however, when the fog around the asylum begins to lift and the family has to come out into the open to meet the rest of the community.

Wednesday wants to experience the world outside her home which Morticia reluctantly allows, and she surprisingly makes friends with Parker Needler, the neglected daughter of reality TV host Margaux Needler, who is also in charge of the town they live in.

However, when Margaux meets Wednesday and rest of the family, she doesn’t like what she sees, and she will do anything to oust the Addams from the perfect town she has been building.

The movie features the voices of Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Chloe Moretz as Wednesday Addams, Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, and Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley Addams.

Maurice (15)

In 1909, Cambridge University student Maurice Hall meets the handsome and charming Clive Durham and the two immediately hit it off and become fast friends.

However, Clive soon turns the relationship into a romantic one when he boldly confesses his love to Maurice. Although Maurice, who had grown up believing that a traditional romantic relationship was between a man and a woman, flinches from Clive at first, he soon realizes that he also loves Clive.

The two men become lovers, but, at Clive’s insistence, they maintain a non-sexual relationship, as Clive believes that crossing the line would tar the meaning of their relationship.

When one of their friends is dishonored for being a homosexual, Clive, not wanting to risk his secure future in the upper class, breaks up with Maurice and marries a woman, ultimately breaking his former lover’s heart.

While Clive is married, Maurice begins to believe that his homosexuality is a mental disorder and seeks a cure through hypnosis treatment. But can he really cure his sexuality?

Though the film took home the prestigious Silver Lion award at the Venice International Film Festival in 1987, this is the first time that the movie is being shown in Korea. Audiences will be able to catch the youthful faces of James Wilby and Hugh Grant playing Maurice and Clive in the film.



Graduation (15)

In 2009, Park Ju-hwan was an average student at Sangji University in Gangwon taking a break from school for a year to figure out what he wanted to do after graduation. However, when another friend showed him a YouTube clip of fellow student Lee Seung-hyeon sobbing uncontrollably and refusing to sit out of a protest against the return of the corrupted former chairman Kim Moon-gi, he felt ashamed that he was relaxing peacefully while his classmates were out in the streets protesting furiously.

So Park returned to school and joined the protest. That was the beginning of a 10-year journey Park and his fellow students embarked on in order to drive out Kim and the corrupted board of trustees. Despite the student protests, Kim was actually appointed the president of the school in 2014. When the entire school feels that their school is falling apart, the students fight even harder against Kim’s aides and the president to get him out of power. Eventually, in 2015, Kim is removed from the position.

Park recorded every part of their struggle with his camera, which he later turned into a documentary film, “Graduation.”

Terminator: Dark Fate(15)

Although Sarah Connor and her son John managed to prevent the evil artificial intelligence (AI) Skynet from destroying humanity, in an alternate future a new AI, Legion, is rising to fulfil what its predecessor failed to do.

In the year 2020, a human cyborg named Grace and a terminator named Rev-9 arrive separately from the future to a factory located in Mexico City to find Daniella “Dani” Ramos, who will become the new future leader of the Resistance. The two’s objectives differ widely - the former attempts to save Dani, while the other was sent to kill her.

After Sarah Connor arrives and manages to temporarily distract Rev-9, Sarah, Grace and Dani escape the factory.

Before Sarah can teach and train Dani as a new Resistance leader, however, the three must defeat Rev-9, a powerful shape-shifting endoskeleton that can also split into two separate autonomous entities. The trio receives assistance in the most unexpected form.

A direct sequel of the second Terminator film “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” the film was created along with the help of the original director James Cameron, who helped as a producer. Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise their roles of Sarah Connor and T-800 Terminator, with new stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, and Gabriel Luna as Grace, Dani and Rev-9.



Weathering With You (15)

Hodaka is a high school freshman with no attachment to his home, so one day, he runs away to Tokyo hoping to find something exciting. Although he is almost thrown off of a ferry in a violent rainstorm, he manages to get to the city in one piece and finds a job as an assistant for a small publishing company.

While working at the company, he meets Hina, who can control the weather and proves it to him by clearing the sky with a prayer. Hodaka proposes that they start a business together, accepting clients who want specific weather conditions for a special occasion. While the business flourishes, the police begin to search for Hodaka, and Hina is at the brink of losing her younger brother, Nagi, to social services because the siblings do not have a legal guardian.

The three plan to run away from the city and live on their own, but another complication arises as strange things begin happening to Hina’s body.

The film is director Makato Shinkai’s latest romantic fantasy film after his successful “Your Name” hit local theaters in 2016. The voice of Hodaka is played by Japanese actor Kotaro Daigo, who also appeared in the local film “The Battle: Roar to Victory” (2019).

Kim Ji Young, Born 1982 (12)

Kim Ji-young came from a typical Korean household. After getting her college diploma, she gets a job in a PR agency and promises to herself that she will continue working even when she is married and has children. Despite her aspirations, she inevitably quits her job after working for a few years to take care of her newborn child.

One day, however, her husband starts to notice strange things about his wife. Sometimes, briefly, Ji-young seems to become someone else: his friend, mother-in-law - all women that Ji-young once knew or is close to. Although her tone doesn’t change, the way she spoke changed to the other person completely. However, after that brief spell ends, she forgets what happened during that moment, as if waking up from a trance. Worried for his wife but afraid to tell her what’s happening, he visits a therapist to discuss Ji-young’s mental state.

Adapted from the bestselling novel under the same title, actors Jung Yu-mi and Gong Yoo portray the characters Ji-young and Dae-hyun. The film is director Kim Do-young’s debut feature film.
