This is today's anchor briefing.

“How are you going to work in politics if you have lost your sense like that?” When the pro-Park Geun-hye faction was once very powerful, he called his colleague and that was how he criticized him.

“If you live your life that hard, nothing is actually going well… Sure, sure, We’ll help you…”
- Choi Kyung-hwan, former lawmaker of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party

Before the general election, he suggested to another lawmaker that they change their constituency by saying that he would secure the nomination. They showed off their power by mentioning that it was what the VIPs of the party wanted… In fact, they were the only ones who didn’t know about their collapse due to the factions in the party and the politics being controlled by close associates… Considering the surroundings… Paradoxically, they might be the ones who lost the sense of politics.

After four years, people are busy preparing for the general election again, and a man who asked for a press conference made his own argument about persimmons, which sounds the same as ‘sense’ in Korean.

“The soldiers serving at an official residence are responsible for picking up its persimmons.”
- Park Chan-ju, former General of the Korean army.

His words carried a sting. Perhaps he thought it’s unfair to him. He previously said the military became indiscriminately concerned with human rights and mentioned the Samcheong Training Camp. He said that his actions toward a soldier serving at an official residence were not a power trip because we can’t say that parents who scold their children are overusing their power.

He said all these suspicions are made by impure forces who want to incapacitate the military… People who listened to his press conference were wondering who is the person actually losing sense?

Do the secretaries need to pick up the persimmons for their lawmakers?
He’s a general of a power trip, not of the Korean army.
It sounds like they have lost their sense…
Can’t soldiers have human rights?
Is a soldier who serves at an official residence a butler?

Also, does a political party, who said they want to make Park a member of the party by calling him ‘a man of great worth’, have the right idea about how the world works?...

‘How are you going to work in politics if you lost your sense like that?’ They, who made ‘sense’ into a controversial issue several years ago, are remembered as a party that needs to be settled as they lost people’s support.

And the time for people to become more concerned with politics is back again… It’s telling that the season of ‘persimmon’ is coming as it strangely overlaps with the former general’s argument made during a press conference, ‘The soldiers serving at an official residence are responsible for picking up its persimmons.’

Because of the former general’s remark, the two irrelevant words, which both sound like ‘kam’ in Korean, became relevant at least in political issues…
