KMRB makes apology for blacklist
The Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB) revealed a new corporate identity and also made an apology regarding the blacklist scandal in the cultural community on Thursday.The new identity includes the association’s initials using green and blue, to create a sense of trust and credibility.
“[Through the new branding] we will actively promote the quickly-changing media environment and establish a clearer rating system that can offer credibility to our customers,” the KMRB said in a statement.
The KMRB will be renovating their website as well.
“We will walk a new path of innovation and change through the new vision,” said Lee Mi-yeon, the KMRB chair. “We also regret damaging our independence and freedom [due to the blacklist] and apologize to all of those who suffered but did not receive a proper apology.”
