Halsey cancels Seoul concert due to outbreak, tickets being refunded

Singer-songwriter Halsey has canceled her May 9 concert due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus, according to concert organizer Live Nation Korea on Monday.

“As the virus outbreak has turned into a pandemic, we decided to cancel the concert as it would’ve been difficult to host the performance considering people’s health and safety,” the company announced.

“Halsey - Manic World Tour Live in Seoul” was supposed to be held at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, southern Seoul.

Reserved tickets will be fully refunded. Those who canceled the tickets after the government raised the country’s official alert level to “red” on Feb. 23 can get their cancellation fee back through the official ticket reservation site Yes24 (1544-6399).

The singer is best known to Korean listener for featuring on BTS’s title track “Boy With Luv” from the septet’s 2019 album “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
