South and North Korean Scholars to Hold Tangun Seminar in Pyongyang

The president of Korea University, Kim Jung-bae, said on November 19 at a press conference, 'We have agreed with North Korean scholars to hold a seminar on Tangun, the founding father of the Korean nation, in Pyongyang on the Foundation Day of Korea of next year.'
Kim, who visited NK for nine days from November 9, announced that Korea University will propel to cooperate in research on non-political subjects with the Kim Il-sung University.
The president Kim, who is also the chairman of the Tangun Association, said, 'I met NK scholars during the visit and agreed with them to hold the seminar. I and the president of the Kim Il-sung University, Pak Kwan-oh, discussed the exchanges in non-political studies.'
The Tangun Association, which was founded in 1997, has worked for the establishment of academic links with NK.
