Survey of Inchon and Kangwon Constituencies.

Inchon has 11 seats in the parliament. On February 29 the results of a recent poll showed that 32.1 percent will vote for the Millennium Democratic Party (MDP), 32.5% for the Grand National Party (GNP), and 7.7% for the United Liberal Democrats (ULD). The GNP leads by only 0.4%, a smaller margin than in Seoul and Kyonggi province. People were asked to choose from among the front-runners as of February 29.

When the Democratic People's Party(DPP) joins the race, the MDP is expected to win 31.2%, the GNP 31.2%, the ULD 7.3%, and the DPP 4.6%.

Overall, the MDP and the GNP each lead in three separate provinces. The remaining five provinces are expected to be important battlegrounds.

The phone survey was conducted between February 26-29, polling 3,435 electorates in Inchon (margin of error is ±1.67%).
Meanwhile, Kangwon province (total of 9 seats) has the most number of independent candidates in the nation. With sentiments of 'anti-ruling party, non-opposition party' rampant in the region, Cho Soon and Han Seung-soo, candidates from the DPP, may be the big winners in the upcoming election.
