[NEW RELEASES] Kylie Minogue

With Lady Gaga and other female artists such as Christina Aguilera and teen icon Miley Cyrus claiming a place in the dance music genre, some might wonder if Australian-born superstar Kylie Minogue, the queen of dance music, has still got it.

Her eleventh album, “Aphrodite,” proves that she does.

On the album, Minogue clearly shows that her style is still relevant - and she also succeeds in distinguishing herself from her younger rivals.

The title track, which has an upbeat sound that makes you want to get up and dance, could be considered classic Kylie.

And tracks like “Better Than Today” contribute to the album’s classic 70s disco sound.

The rest of the album, however, has a more modern feel. On “Looking for an Angel,” the artist adds an arrangement for string instruments, which gives the song a freshness that is lacking in today’s electronica.
