[Sponsored Report] LG U+ pushing the limits on multimedia access

LG U+’s “U+ Box” service is demonstrated through its N-Screen service, which allows users to access and use their multimedia content freely from anywhere via 100Mbps Wi-Fi or 3G.

LG U+ is now offering the “U+ Box” service, which allows users to access and use their multimedia content freely from anywhere through 100 Mbps Wi-Fi or 3G.

U+ Box is a multimedia N-Screen service in which clients can view photographs, listen to music and watch video clips they have uploaded through a computer, smartphone, digital frame, tablet PC, IPTV or any other Internet device.

For example, you can take photographs of your children and upload them through a digital photo frame and then view them right away.

Regardless of what device you use, everyone gets five free gigabytes of storage space and LG U+ clients get 10GB of free space.

You can become a member by signing up on the Web site and you can use this service by downloading the application on the Android Market and the Apple App Store.

LG U+ has also expanded its U+ Box Lite and Pro storage space, normally 10GB at 2,000 won and 20GB at 4,000 won, respectively, up to 40 times the current size.

This is because of the rapid increase in smartphone and tablet PC users and because large-sized multimedia files continue to spread.

The Lite schedule, which provides 50GB of storage space, is available for 3,000 won a month and the Pro schedule provides 800GB a month for 10,000 won.

Previously, if you wanted to add 10GB of space you would have to pay 2,000 won, meaning 800GB would have been 160,000 won.

U+ Box also has an automatic transcoding function to the correct file types according to the type of digital device the client is using. This way the user does not have to transfer files themselves by connecting PC and digital device using cables. It’s a much easier process now.

In addition, the service is able to provide high-speed real time streaming so that you can watch videos even if you don’t need to download them.

As more tablet PC’s and Internet based devices get developed, LG U+ plans to upgrade the N-Screen service so users can share content from all kinds of devices.

As content file sizes continue to increase, the company will also work for customers so they don’t have any difficulties with storage space and so LG U+ can improve the quality of its services.
