Jun Jin holds Christmas Day fan meeting in Taiwan

For many Taiwanese fans of K-pop, Santa delivered a most unconventional gift: Jun Jin. The singer’s Christmas Day fan meeting for took place at Taipei International Convention Center, which was packed with fans holding orange balloons – his former band Shinhwa’s symbolic color.

The former boy band member sang songs from his solo career such as “Like a Fool” and “Happy Ending.” Jin gave out surprise gifts and fans were given a chance to talk with the entertainer. The singer expressed his joy over participating in such an event. “This is the first time I’ve ever been able to spend Christmas with my fans. I will never forget this moment and I am so grateful to my Taiwanese fans for making this day so special.”

Jun Jin also talked briefly about his plans for a comeback with fellow Shinhwa members. The members of the now-defunct group are thought to be preparing for a comeback spectacular to take place in March.
Shinhwa is a six-member boy band from the late 1990s and one of the pioneering idol bands of Korea. A rival band, g.o.d., made its debut around the same time as Shinhwa and is also currently in talks about a comeback to take place next year.
