Jeonju Film Festival names judges

테스트

Actor Jung Woo-sung and director Ryu Seung-wan were some of the insiders who made the cut to judge this year’s Jeonju International Film Festival.

The film fest is in its 14th run this year, taking place from April 25 to May 3. Some of the best in the business from around the globe will sit in as judges.

Kazakhstani director Darezhan Omirbayev, American film professor Don Fredericksen from Cornell University and Indian director Santosh Sivan have also been picked to evaluate films in the international segment.

Ryu has ties with Jeonju as he screened his debut piece “Die Bad” (2000) there.

Although it’s his first time judging at Jeonju, last year Jung judged the 2012 Busan International Film Festival. He was the only Korean judge on an international panel of experts.

“Jung has proven himself in the industry, not just as one of Asia’s finest actors, but through directing various music videos,” the spokesperson for BIFF said at the time.
