Jang Jae-in gets proper diagnosis of dystonia

Former contestant Jang Jae-in of singing-audition program “Super Star K2” was diagnosed with dystonia, her agency said yesterday according to local media reports.

“We have received a confirmed diagnosis and that is not peripheral nerve damage but dystonia,” said the agency. “She has visited many different hospitals and heard that she had peripheral nerve damage, but after getting a through check-up at one big university hospital, she was diagnosed with dystonia.”

Dystonia is a temporary condition which comes from extreme stress. It normally requires about a week of hospitalization and then some more treatment and rest based on the patient’s condition.

“She will get treatment and rest before resuming her work,” the agency said.
