‘Law’ draws celebs to ‘Jungle’

To mark its 100th episode, “The Law of the Jungle” is sparing no expense recruiting some of the hottest entertainers on TV.

The program’s producer told online news website TV Report that martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon, ZEA’s Kwanghee, Click-B’s Oh Jong-hyuk and actress Jeon Hye-bin have left for Borneo, Malaysia, where they’ll join host Kim Byung-man and his celebrity entourage roughing it in the wild. The late arrivals will stay with the group for three days before heading back home.

Apparently, only Kim is aware of the fact that these four stars will be joining his team, consisting of actress Lee Young-ah, SHINee’s Onew and comedian Hwang Hyun-hee, among others.

The SBS show, which began in 2011, has invited an array of entertainers to try to survive living in the wild with just the bare essentials.

Last year, the show found itself in hot water when actress Park Bo-young joined Kim for an episode shot in New Zealand. Park’s manager, who accompanied the actress, took to his SNS website to blast the show for being an excuse for entertainers to just go traveling, book a hotel and drink all night.

After his scathing posts were publicized, Park’s manager retracted his statement by saying, “I’m sorry to have caused any misunderstandings. It seemed like Bo-young was having such a hard time that I felt so sad and sorry. After filming all night, I felt a lot of resentment so I acted poorly.”
