테스트

This installation, “Viaje al Centro de la Tierra: Penetrable” (Journey to the Center of the Earth: Penetrable), is part of a solo exhibition by Mexican artist Damian Ortega at Kukje Gallery in central Seoul.

The exhibition “Reading Landscape” features sculptures and installations by the 47-year-old Mexican artist, showing “his unique use of materials and ongoing interest in exploring the forces that shape our world,” the gallery said.

The artist is well known for often deconstructing commercial products into parts and hanging them in the air to create what looks like celestial bodies balanced under a cosmic power.

This work could also remind viewers of the Big Bang, with the minerals and elements of earth frozen in time.

“These assemblages are rooted in the forensic discipline of archeology, where a researcher slowly unearths fragments meticulously reassembling a lost historical time and space,” the gallery said.
