Park Hyung-sik to depart ‘Real Men’

Singer Park Hyung-sik, from K-pop band Z:EA, will drop out of MBC’s weekend variety show “Real Men,” according to local reports yesterday.

“Park will leave the program after finishing shooting for the raid-training episode, which starts today and lasts until Friday,” a member of the production team told local reporters yesterday.

“He had too many scheduling conflicts to stay in the program. We tried until the last minute to arrange a schedule, but it just didn’t work out. We regret that he has to leave.”

Park’s replacement on the show has reportedly not been discussed yet, and there is the possibility that there won’t be a replacement to the original crew, which includes Seo Kyung-suk, Kim Su-ro, Henry and K.Will. Since June 2013, Park has won over audiences with his good-natured clumsiness, which earned him the nickname “baby soldier” on the program. Park will soon begin shooting for a new KBS weekend drama, “What’s Wrong? We Are Family” (working title), where he was cast as the male lead.
