‘I Got A Boy’ passes 100 million views

Girls’ Generation’s music video for “I Got A Boy,” which was released last year, is still popular online.

As of yesterday, the video has been viewed more than 100 million times since it was released on Jan. 1 last year on the group’s official YouTube channel.

The record came out almost two years ago.

The group also has another hit song, “Gee,” which amassed more than 100 million hits on YouTube, but it took much longer.

“Gee” was released in June 2009 and hit 100 million views in April last year after about three years and ten months.

Girls’ Generation’s most recent song “Mr. Mr.” from its fourth mini-album, which will be released in February, has received more than 27 million views on YouTube.

Meanwhile, the group recently celebrated the seventh anniversary since its debut. Soo-young, a Girls’ Generation member, posted a group self-portrait with eight of the other members on her Instagram with the short comment, “Thank you. Congratulations on the seventh anniversary.”

The group performed in front of fans at Kwangwoon University in Nowon, northeastern Seoul, on Sunday to celebrate the occasion.
