Actor Jung Woo-sung to promote Gwangju Biennale

Actor Jung Woo-sung has been appointed as an honorary ambassador for 2014 Gwangju Biennale, according to the event organizer yesterday. This year’s Biennale is the 20th edition.

“As the actor has been loved by fans for 20 years since his debut in 1994, we think that the image Jung has developed matches well with the image we have for the event, as we have been trying to make Korean art more recognized in the global market in the past 20 years,” said the organizer in a release.

He will be attending the opening ceremony on Sept. 4.

“I’m honored to promote one of the most powerful art festivals in Korea,” said Jung.

“I’ll do my best to bring Korea’s modern art to the world.”

The event will kick off on Sept. 5 and then last until Nov. 9.
