Red Velvet will debut on KBS today

The newest girl group at SM Entertainment, home to many globally known K-pop stars including Girls’ Generation and Super Junior, will hold a debut performance today.

The four members of Red Velvet, Seul-ki, Irene, Wendy and Joy, will perform on the KBS music show “Music Bank” and will continue making appearances on other music programs, including “Show! Music Core” on MBC the following day and “Popular Song” on SBS on Sunday.

It is said that “Happiness,” the group’s debut song, is based on the urban Euro pop genre and will mix rap with a melody. The song is about how people can feel energized by the small moments of happiness found in everyday life and how they can begin to love themselves more.

The song will be released at noon on Monday through major online music providers including Melon and Naver Music.
