Snail couple back in new short drama

Good news for fans of the “snail couple”: actor Jang Hyuk and actress Jang Na-ra will reunite for a single-episode MBC drama on Nov. 9.

The special short drama, “Old Good-bye,” is about a boxer named Su-hyuk whose wife has died. But he travels into the past and re-encounters his wife. In the drama, Na-ra is expected to broaden her acting scope as she plays a character from when she is a teenager to when she reaches her 30s.

The drama was produced by Kim Hee-won, who also co-produced the actors’ previous drama “Fated to Love You,” which ended in September.

The Jang couple earned the nickname “snail couple” in that drama because Na-ra’s character was called a snail in the series for her slow but determined spirit.

“Old Good-bye” will air at 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 9.
