Another Hanjin kid drops bomb

The sister of former Korean Air Vice President Cho Hyun-ah, or Heather Cho, who made international headlines for humiliating employees and forcing a plane back to the gate at a New York airport over a bag of nuts, is stirring new controversy.

The 31-year-old Emily Cho, or Cho Hyun-min, sent an email on Dec. 17 to marketing employees stressing that any lack of flexibility in the company’s culture is the responsibility of each and every employee.

Emily Cho, the youngest of the three children of Cho Yang-ho, the founder of Hanjin Group founder and chairman of Korean Air, is the senior vice president of marketing and public relations for the company’s budget airline Jin Air. In the email, Emily noted that faults in the organization weren’t the results of a single problem, which seems to be a hint not to blame her older sister Heather for everything.

Emily added that she is the first to reflect on her own faults.

Although Korean Air said the email was written with good intentions, its pilot union harshly complained about it. Placing blame on each and every employee, it said, proves that the Cho family still doesn’t understand what the actual problem is.
