Key of Shinee, Below, and Lee Jung-shin, a member of boy group CNBlue, will host a weekly TV music show called “M Countdown” starting mid-March.

According to an industry insider, Key and Lee will join the weekly music show when the new season is launched next month.

“K-pop exerts its influence not only in Asian countries but in Latin American countries, too,” the industry insider told OSEN, an online news agency, on Monday. “Because of this, we’ve decided to cast Key and Lee, who are both popular in Latin American countries.”

Singers Jung Joon-young, Lee Hong-ki of F.T. Island and actor Kim Woo-bin were some of the previous hosts on the show.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung-shin has been busy pursuing acting and singing careers.

He was recently cast in a lead role in the two-part drama series “Thank You My Son.” It was the singer’s first lead role since he began pursuing an acting career.

Although Lee broke into the music scene as a member of CNBlue in 2010, the 24-year-old singer has been appearing in drama series as a supporting actor.

He starred in numerous dramas including “My Daughter Seo-young” (2012) and “My Husband Got a Family” (2012).
