‘Twenty’ gets foreign subtitles

The film “Twenty,” featuring Kim Woo-bin of the drama series “The Heirs” (2013), will be available with English and Chinese subtitles to attract more foreign moviegoers.

NEW, which is distributing the film, said Wednesday that a selected number of theaters in downtown Seoul will screen the film with foreign subtitles.

CGV Sinchon, CGV Yongsan, CGV Yeouido, Cine de Chef Apgujeong and Lotte Cinema Hongdae will screen the film with English subtitles, while CGV Myeongdong, CGV Myeongdong Station, Lotte Cinema Avenuel and Lotte Cinema Jeju will screen the film with Chinese subtitles.

More detailed screening information is available from web sites of CGV and Lotte Cinema.

The comedy, which traces the turbulent lives of three 20-something clueless men, is getting rave reviews from the media for its portrayal of today’s young folks.

The film opened on Wednesday.

Along with Kim, the film has Kang Ha-neul of “C’est si Bon” and the hit drama series “Misaeng” and Lee Jun-ho, a member of K-pop boy band 2PM.

NEW said this will be the first time a new film is released with foreign subtitles.
