Exo manager fined for assaulting fan

테스트

The manager of the boy band Exo has been ordered to pay a fine for physically assaulting one of the group’s fans who was taking their picture at the airport.

According to the Incheon District Court on Wednesday, Kim Sung-jin, the band’s manager, was fined 1 million won ($930) for imposing physical violence.

The manager was accompanying the boy group to an underground platform at Incheon International Airport in August, when he hit one of the band’s fans in the back of the head. The victim sustained bruises and a sprain to the neck after the blow, and required hospitalization for two weeks.

“I saw the fan at the airport, but I neither hurt nor imposed violence upon [that person],” Kim said, denying the charge.

However, the judge determined that, based on the evidence, the fine was appropriate.

At the time, Exo was returning to Korea from a performance in Nanjing, China.
