Female celebrities, including singers Seo In-young and Solbi, as well as actress Lee Si-young, will join the MBC’s military-themed entertainment program “Real Men 2,” according to a source from the program on Friday.

The three will enroll in the fictional navy along with several other celebrities who have yet to be named.

“They are scheduled to enter the naval education and training program on Monday and will be trained for five days,” the source said.

Since the program began in 2013, it has featured either all-male or all-female celebrities. This time, however, the show decided to include stars of both genders.

“Real Men 2” is one of the most popular variety programs aired on Sunday. Its average viewership rate is 10.7 percent, according to a market research company Nielson Korea.

Seo, Solbi and Lee first proved their strong, unique personalities in the MBC’s reality program “We Got Married,” which pairs celebrities as married couples, in 2008.
