Cast announced for KBS2’s newest drama

Actor and model Kim Young-kwang will star in new TV series “The Man Living in Our House.”

According to a KBS official, the cast for new KBS2 drama, “The Man Living in Our House,” was decided with Kim, actress Soo-ae, and actress Jo Bo-ah, taking the lead roles.

The upcoming drama, based on the popular Daum webtoon written by Yoo Hyun-sook, is about a flight attendant, played by Soo-ae, who returns home on the anniversary of her mother’s death. When she visits her mother’s grave, however, she finds a young man, played by Kim, claiming to be her new father.

The drama will mark Kim Young-kwang’s first casting in a lead role for network television since his debut as an actor in 2008 KBS drama, “Worlds Within.” Kim joined the cast right after completion of filming for film, “Wonderful Mind,” and it will be his return to network television. He was last seen in 2014 SBS drama “Pinocchio.”

Likewise, it will also mark Soo-ae’s return to the romantic comedy genre after nine years. Often referred to as the “queen of ratings,” Soo-ae’s dramas often resulted in smash hits, such as SBS’s “Mask,” “A Thousand Days Promise” and “Queen of Ambition.”

The drama is scheduled to air in October as the follow-up to “Love in the Moonlight.”
