ECCK releases white paper on Europe-Korea business

The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea released Thursday a white paper that contains trade and business agendas regarding Europe and Korea, collected between the second half of 2015 and the first half of 2016.

ECCK is a nonprofit organization that supports European companies doing business in Korea by representing their interests and communicating on their behalf.

This is the nonprofit’s second white paper. The first, released last year, launched with the hope that it will serve as reference material for policy makers.

The document presents 95 issues and suggestions on Korea’s trade and business environment from the perspective of European companies operating in the country. It regards 14 industries such as cosmetics, cars, financial services and intellectual property rights.

“Our motivation in releasing the White Paper is to raise issues, not as a way of complaint, but to provoke dialogue in strengthening the business relationship between Europe and Korea,” said Christophe Heider, ECCK secretary general.
