Kim Joo-hyuk, 46, dies in car accident

Actor Kim Joo-hyuk of the film “Confidential Assignment” (2017) died in a car accident Monday afternoon, according to police and fire officials.

According to an exclusive report from MBN on Monday, the 46-year-old actor’s vehicle tipped over and caught on fire in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, at around 4 p.m. Kim was sent to Konkuk University Medical Center soon after the accident.

Police began investigating the cause of the car accident Monday evening.

Kim, who made his entertainment debut in 1998, was recently honored at The Seoul Awards on Friday for his supporting role in “Confidential Assignment,” released in January.

Kim, who is a son of late actor Kim Moo-saeng, was working on two upcoming movies “Dokjeon” and “Heungbu,” each slated for release next year.

Some of Kim’s well-received works include movies “My Wife Got Married” (2008) and “Singles” (2003), as well as TV series “Lovers in Prague” (2005) and “Rival” (2002). By Jin Min-ji
